General Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; current CDL (we provide on-site training) and evidence of insurability; knowledge of safe driving practices and procedures as well as pertinent codes, policies, regulations and/or laws relating to operating a school bus. Must have the following abilities: coping with stressful situations related to pupils, including disabled pupils; maintaining confidentiality; exercising good judgment; and communicating with diverse groups. Must present a positive image when representing the district. Bus drivers must be able to successfully complete all Utah State Office of Education School Bus Driver assessments. BUS DRIVER Description: Bus Drivers are responsible for safely transporting students over scheduled routes. Bus Drivers may also transport students to/from special excursions, such as field trips and activity trips. They are also responsible to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition. Hours: This is a part-time position working approximately 4 hours per day; split shift (6-9 a.m. and 2-5 p.m.). Additional trips may be available (field trips, activity trips). |
